The Gibbs Crew took a day trip to Sugar Pine Reservoir in Foresthill, California. One of our favorite spots to cool off just outside the Sacramento Valley. Shallow lagoon and just off the shore island offers fun in the sun and splashes all around!
Spontanaeity is our prime directive for this road trip. Last minute toss the chairs, cooler and boogie boards in the car, and off we go! Just needed some time in the pines for our day of serenity before the head of the Gibbs crew goes back to the weekly grind.
Just 72 miles east of Sacramento, it's a close destination retreat. Take I-80 east out of Sacramento toward Auburn. Exit and turn right on Auburn Ravine Road toward Foresthill. Auburn Ravine changes to Foresthill Road. Continue on Foresthill Road for approximately 26 miles. Turn left on Sugar Pine road and follow the signs toward the reservoir.
