Just Me
I'm a mom of two that loves exploring - not the world, but the pockets of paradise within a few miles to a few hours of where we live. So much is missed with world travels, when peaceful retreats are so close and largely unnoticed! This blog is simply our legacy of travels that we'd like to share with others that have a love for the outdoors and may like to visit some of these treasures.
Our family, who I've renamed The Gibbs Crew, usually explore beautiful areas via day trips or camping. We travel with our 2013 Raptor Velocity fifth wheel toy hauler. It's a complete blessing to travel in style with all the comforts of home, but we have also roughed it in small tents in the Trinity Alps for hunting and backpacking. We love our toy hauler as it brings with it off-road vehicles, such as my husband's KTM 530, my son's Kawasaki 110L, and yes MY Kawasaki 140L. We are soon to purchase a 2-seater quad for me and my little girly-girl so we can join the boys on some adventures (oh, and haul the lunches, extra fuel, etc.).
Our travels are how we stay connected to each other and the outdoors, and disconnect from electronic devices that continually feed us into mindless oblivion. We are believers in living life the REAL way (oh but yah we have that fancy toy hauler, too). :) We are also followers of the Christian faith, and work on our imperfections through love and patience.
