Cache Creek Regional Park Campgournd is mostly an undiscovered GEM in Rumsey, California on Hwy. 16. One of our faves! Incredibly peaceful, quiet, and serene. It has the WOW factor if you're looking for some down time after the hustle and bustle of city life. Completely paved in the campground, so great for scooters and bikes. It has a playground, an open grassy area, and a creek that is the best freshwater swimming hole in the area! Totally safe, too - kids had a blast.
To reach this little mountain paradise, Take I-5 North from Sacramento toward Woodland for approximatley 20 miles. Exit and turn left on CA-16 W/Esparto and travel 3 miles. Turn right onto CA-16 West and travel 12 miles. Turn right onto Yolo Avenue and then left onto CA-16/Woodland Avenue and continue on it for 26.7 miles and the destination is on the left!
